Event Report
The Doda Bon Dance Festival 2026 was successfully held on August 16th from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Doda School Yard.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined and supported the event.
The festival welcomed many participants who enjoyed dancing in a lively circle to traditional music.
On the same night, the famous Gozan Okuribi bonfires lit up the mountains of Kyoto, creating a memorable summer evening for all.
About Bon Dance
Bon Dance, or Bon Odori, is a traditional Japanese event held during the Bon festival to honor the spirits of ancestors.
It is also an important cultural activity that brings the community together.
